Orobello’s Bistro & Pizzeria is family owned and operated, and everyone from grandma to the kids is involved in some way!
As the granddaughter of Sicilian immigrants, I learned that San Marzano tomatoes are the only way to make sauce, that you indeed can have pasta with every meal, and that no matter what, they always had it much harder growing up than me!
Family, tradition and a great meatball were all that mattered in this world, a motto that still prevails in our family today. Speaking of great meatballs, we are proud to serve the best meatballs in town, using the very same recipe my mother, her mother and probably every woman in our family has ever used.
I also learned growing up that the finest produce can only be grown in the family garden, and my fondest memories involve helping grandpa in the family garden growing tomatoes, eggplant and various other veggies.
Grandpa and I would spend hours tending the garden, talking about “the old country”, the recipe for Torpedo Juice and trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to stay out of trouble with my grandmother.
In honor of this tradition, we use only the finest locally sourced products and ingredients in our family recipes, and the preparation is lovingly supervised by Grandma Orobello to ensure that it is done the right (read HER) way.
Our family is committed to providing the Beaufort County area with the finest Italian specialties, in a warm, family friendly environment. Stop in, take some home or call us and we will deliver to you!
